Design Data getting ready for Spring BIMForum

Design Data will be heading to BIMForum in a week.

The conference, of which Design Data is a silver-level sponsor, will be held April 29-30 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

The Design Data team will be in booth 28 to provide information and answer any questions about SDS/2.

The mission of BIMForum, which meets twice a year, is to facilitate and accelerate the adoption of BIM in the AEC industry, the conference website says.

“Influential BIM solution providers are involved in a highly interactive program that includes premium networking opportunities across a two-day summit with A/E/C project teams, owners/operators, and technology leaders,” the website says.

The theme of this year’s event is “Transforming Deliverables.”

For example, one of the sessions is titled, “BIM Won’t Work as a Deliverable, Will It?” The panel will discuss the barriers and success factors to using BIM as a deliverable.

Presentations will address a variety of topics, such as managing the risk of model sharing and using BIM, but still improving traditional deliverables.

Attendees will be able to participate in a networking reception on the 29th.

The second 2015 BIMForum will be held October 20-21 in Orlando, Florida.
