AISC opens up scholarship program for next year’s college freshmen and sophomores

The American Institute of Steel Construction is now accepting applications for the David B. Ratterman Fast Start Scholarship Program. The scholarship will be awarded to freshman or sophomores in the 2016-17 school year.

A total of $40,000 in undergraduate scholarships will be awarded to the chosen students.

To be eligible, applicants must be:

-The child of an AISC Full member company employee OR share a permanent residence with an AISC Full member company employee. Employees must work for a facility that produces, distributes or fabricates structural steel for use in buildings of bridges and whose tonnage is used in the calculation of the members required contributions to the AISC Education Foundation.

-A freshman or sophomore during the 2016-17 academic year.

-A full-time student at a 2-year or 4-year college.
