Louisiana State Museum and Sports Hall of Fame Project Utilizes BIM, SDS/2

The use of BIM technology played a pivotal role in the design of the $12.6-million Louisiana State Museum and Sports Hall of Fame.

Located in Natchitoches, Louisiana, the museum unites two disparate subjects within one venue that combines north Louisiana's history with its influential world of sports.

Designed by Trahan Architects and detailed by Total Global Steel Detailing using SDS/2, the project resulted in a fully detailed model of every structural member, support and connection used for fabrication and installation of the steel.

The project is currently under construction, and is scheduled to open in early 2013.
