The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat has named One World Trade Center the 2015 Best Tall Building in the Americas. The building officially opened last November and is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. See the other three CTBUH winners:

The tallest tower in Sri Lanka will be a tribute to the country’s cricket team, which won the World Cup in 1996. The 1,190-foot tower will be home to both residential and retail units. Read more in an article in Building Design+Construction magazine
