The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat will award their top skyscraper of 2015 award to one of their four regional winners. The annual award for the world's best tall building aims to "deliver a comprehensive and sophisticated view of these important buildings while advocating for improvements in every aspect of their performance, especially those that have the greatest effect on people who use these buildings each day," the website says.

Middle East and Africa: Burj Mohammed Bin Rashid Tower in Abu Dhabi

Asia and Australasia: CapitaGreen in Singapore

Europe: Bosco Verticale in Milan

Americas: One World Trade Center in New York City

The 10 Year Award was given to the Turning Torso building in Malmo, Sweden. The project was completed in 2005 and has residential and office spaces.

The winning tower of 2015 will be announced during the CTBUH Awards ceremony on November 12, 2015.

The CTBUH gave out its first award in 2001 and began awarding the Best Tall Building awards in 2007. Companies can begin submitting their buildings in March of each year and there is no entry fee included. Regional winners are chosen by a main jury, composed of influential professionals with backgrounds architecture, urban planning, socio-economics and more.
