INTRODUCING CUSTOMERS' CLASSROOM: LESSONS FROM OUR USERS

To help our customers stay up to date on the software, SDS/2 is launching a new video series on our YouTube channel.

Customers' Classroom: Lessons from Our Users will showcase videos put together by our users, for our users.

Customers' Classroom

They will teach you how to make the most out of SDS/2, showing you new ways to use existing features and introducing you to new functionality you might not yet know how to use.

The series' first video — created by United Structural LLC — is entitled SDS/2 Components 101, and covers what components are and how they can make your detailing tasks easier every day. Click here to watch the video.

KRAUS PROMOTED TO SUPPORT DEPARTMENT MANAGER; WISNIEWSKI TO LEAD DETAILING TEMPLATES; HAKEL MOVES TO SALES

Kari Kraus, who has been at SDS/2 since June 2008, was recently promoted to support manager. She has previously worked as a support specialist, providing daily customer support, and has also instructed both Basic Training and Continuing Education courses.

"I have learned a lot through my time here at SDS/2 and in the classroom continuing my education," Kraus said. "I'm excited to utilize my experience and education to bring out the best of our support department moving forward, as the company and the software advances."

Steve Wisniewski, who was previously the support manager and has been with the company since April 2008, has taken a new position as detailing templates specialist. In that capacity, he will be focusing on improving the existing detailing templates, while also working directly with customers to develop customized detailing templates. Laura Hakel, who has been a support specialist with SDS/2 since October 2011, is joining the sales team as a global solution specialist. In that role, Hakel will be working with marketing and sales to develop content, assist with pre-sales technical demos, and work with partners for interoperability and joint marketing initiatives.

Customers who had Wisniewski or Hakel as their support representative have been assigned a new support rep; those impacted customers will receive notification via email about the change.

SDS/2 TO EXHIBIT AT WORLD OF CONCRETE IN JANUARY

SDS/2 Concrete provides the necessary tools to automate detailing and fabricating of rebar for reinforced concrete. Rebar detailers can automatically generate detailed bending and placing schedules, as well as placement drawings, from 3D model information, saving time over traditional 2D workflows and putting users at the forefront of the BIM market.

Now users can see firsthand what SDS/2 Concrete has to offer at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas, Nevada, January 22nd through the 25th. SDS/2 will be exhibiting in booth #N2467.
