SDS2 & ALLPLAN Joining Forces

SDS2 is excited to announce that we will be joining forces with ALLPLAN, the global provider of BIM design software solutions.

ALLPLAN is a global provider of BIM design software for the AEC industry. True to their “Design to Build” tagline, ALLPLAN covers the entire process from the first concept to final detailed design for the construction site and for prefabrication. ALLPLAN users create deliverables of the highest quality and level of detail thanks to lean workflows. ALLPLAN offers powerful integrated cloud technology to support interdisciplinary collaboration on building and civil engineering projects.

Around the world over 500 dedicated employees continue to write the ALLPLAN success story. Headquartered in Munich, Germany, ALLPLAN is also part of the Nemetschek Group which is a pioneer for digital transformation in the construction sector.

Bringing together the best-of-breed solutions for steel and concrete is a logical step for Nemetschek.  The combined revenue engine and economies of scale will enable future development to accelerate beyond what either company could achieve alone which represents an even brighter future for our customers.

Branding decisions will be made in the coming months.

The SDS2 team will continue to be based in Lincoln, NE and have plans to move into a newly constructed HQ building in 2022.  We look forward to sharing details of how Nemetschek customers are involved in the design of the new building.

Both companies are value-based organizations who share a passion for collaboration, innovation, and reliability. While the details will be determined as a part of the integration process, the combined company will continue to embody that same spirit and deliver on our shared visions to bring innovative software solutions to the construction industry.

Customers will not experience any immediate impact to their product support. However, in time, it is possible that teams and processes could be combined to provide an even more efficient team with the ability to contribute further to our customers’ success.

Yes, for SDS2, this is business as usual, and we will honor all existing and upcoming sales purchase orders.

Yes, we have a strong brand and user community and will continue to enrich that. You can expect to see members of the ALLPLAN team at this year's event. We encourage you to bring your questions and ideas to the Summit! Early bird registration is open until July 1, register today

The primary objective for merging SDS2 and Allplan is to provide an even brighter future for our customers.  All decisions going forward will be made with this objective in mind.

Dr. Detlef Schneider, CEO of ALLPLAN, adds: “This merger is again an important milestone, not only for ALLPLAN and SDS2, but especially for our customers. Combining technology and know-how for steel and concrete construction will create a strong solution that will strengthen our market positioning and provides additional value to our customers immediately. Additionally, SDS2’s approach to steel detailing, which revolves around constructable and erectable connection design. This fits perfectly to our ‘Design to Build’ motto and the buildability aspect that aims to incorporate the process of construction of a project at an early stage throughout the entire design and construction process.”
