Lincoln, NE - SDS2 by ALLPLAN is excited to announce that the annual Solid Steel Awards are now open. Submissions for the 2024 awards open on January 8, 2024, and close April 30, 2024.

Every year, the awards recognize the most innovative, technically advanced, and remarkable steel detailing projects completed in SDS2 from around the world across various sectors of structural steel.

Submission categories include Commercial: Small Tonnage (up to 700 tons), Commercial: Large Tonnage (above 700 tons), and Industrial. Projects are judged on aesthetics, structural complexity, use of SDS2 to solve problems, and overall “wow” factor. First and second place prizes are awarded in each category, along with one Customer’s Choice winner selected by public vote.

Prizes include gift cards, promotional opportunities, and a free registration pass to SDS2 Summit 2024, taking place September 25-26 in Louisville, Kentucky. The Solid Steel Awards ceremony will take place during this annual learning and networking event.

 

Entry requirements

Companies may submit up to one project in each category. New structures, major retrofits, and expansion projects are all eligible. Projects must have been created or completed within the last three years using SDS2 2020 or newer versions.

Projects submitted in a previous year may be submitted again, as long as they meet all other criteria and have not won any previous awards.
