James is a senior technical consultant for SDS2 with over 40 years of experience in the steel industry. He began his career in 1984 drafting by hand on commercial projects in Montreal, Canada. In 1994, he moved from the drafting board to SDS2 and to a new company working with several fabricators on everything from large commercial to heavy industrial projects, including some notable stadiums. He was there until 2000, when he joined the SDS2 team. He has held many roles in the company, including product owner for SDS2 Load Planning, as well as various research, development, and internal and external software assistance. He serves on the AISC BIM Guide and BIM Approval Committee. Over the years has promoted SDS2 products at NASCC, Impact, and SEAA, and has had the privilege of offering seminars and training sessions around the world.
