Enhanced workflows with analysis tools such as SCIA and FRILO have been enabled via import/export of the Structural Analysis Format (SAF). Coordinating models between engineer and detailer is made easy with this Excel-based file format developed by the Nemetschek Group and supported by numerous analysis and design packages including SCIA, FRILO, Allplan, RISA and many more. Steel models can be shared via SAF to avoid time-consuming and tedious input, whether models are created in SDS2 and transferred for analysis or the models are created in the analysis software and transferred to SDS2 for detailing.
